DESIGN CONSULTATIONS
The First Step in Design
If you are unsure of whether you'd benefit from working with a Designer, a consultation is a must. It's a great way to talk through your ideas, get a few pointers from me, and see what dreams could become a reality within your budget and timeline. It's also an ideal time to learn how a Designer works and what I can do for you.
I won't kid you, having an Interior Designer is a luxury, and not everyone is going to feel they need one. However, I feel that working with a design professional can save you hours of decision making and confusion. I'm here to guide you and save you some headaches, and maybe even a little bit of money along the way.
INTERIOR DESIGN
Let's Make it Happen!
After the first consultation, you will have undoubtedly fallen in love with me and never want me to leave. It's now that the design process can begin and we can work our magic together. We'll talk final room layouts, finishes, renovations, color, materials, lighting, furniture, anything and everything to make your place everything you'd hoped it could be.
We work at your pace, whether you want it completed in a few months or whether you need to space the project out to accomodate your budget. This is your show, I'm just here to make it all look good.
I offer a tiered fee schedule, bill hourly, and operate with open books, so you know exactly what you're spending at all times. Finances are stressful, so I have bulit my business to be as stress free for the client as possible.
HOME ORGANIZATION
A Little Change Goes a Long Way
I love a good clean out; it makes my Spidey senses tingle. Most people benefit from a home purge every now and then, and everyone benefits from a pre-remodel purge!
You will be amazed at what you still own. "Do you really need 3 cheese graters?" "You know make up expires a year after you open it, right?" "Why do you still have nursing bras?"
A good sort and toss gives you room to breathe and see clearly, and if you're remodelling, it's less to pack and store. I'm a big fan of organization, so I'll be there to help you put it all back in the right place.
HOME STAGING
When You Need a Lifestyle Lift
As much as it pains me to say (because I love my job), sometimes you don't need a full redesign. Maybe you don't have the time or budget at the moment, or maybe you've already bought your forever furniture and you just want a little refresh, either wat, you can get a whole new look with a little help from your friendly neighborhood Interior Designer (that's me).
We would evaluate your accessories, art, furniture placement, lighting, and see if the space was missing a 'wow factor', because we all love a wow factor. Once we have a list, we get to go shopping to find the missing pieces of the puzzle.
EXTERIOR DESIGN
It's Not Just What's on the Inside That Counts
I'm going to level with you - once you make your interior a perfect dream, you'll start noticing other areas that could use a little TLC. The exterior is the first taste your guests will get of your home, and it should be just as beautiful as what is beyond the front door. From paint schemes to patio furniture and garden design, I'm here to help.
ABOUT IAN PATRICK
I started Ian Patrick Interiors in 2004, after graduating with a Masters Degree in Interior Architectural Design from UCLA Extension. I've always loved design and creating environments that people want to be in. My Mom was an Interior Designer and my Dad was an Engineer, so design and detail is in my blood. I've also taken my experience and education and transitioned into teaching Interior Design at schools like Santa Monica College and Mount San Antionio College.
I work hand in hand with all of my clients, providing guidance and reassurance every step of the way in order to satisfy their vision. I approach all of my jobs with optimism and excitement for the opportunity to create something new and unique. Some projects will be easy, others may be a little more complicated, but either way, I'm in it to win it with you. In the end, I want you to be happy with everything we have done together.
I've found that the best designs are ones that show the personality of the client, not the heavyhanded influence of the Designer or whatever trend happens to be saturating the market. My job is to discover and refine your individual style and channel that into your space. It's all about finding the elements that are most important to you, and tailoring them to your unique lifestyle. Interiors should be useful, functional, and stylish; we shouldn't occupy spaces we don't absolutely love and that don't serve our everyday needs.
I hope you like what you've seen and read, and if you have, shoot me a line to set up a meeting so we can get to know each other better.
